Carefree fun

I missed the times when we didn’t rationalize things too much. We just went out there to do our thing and enjoy the moment. We didn’t think what others may think, there were no pros and cons to consider. There was just one thing – and that was to have fun!

41st Year

My 40th year was a blast! Despite the pandemic, I had the chance to celebrate “salubong” with a friend, then spent my actual birthday in a remote forest cabin. What followed was a life I’ve never experienced before. I hiked, I camped out, I shot landscapes, I traveled within the restrictions set upon us, I bought a scooter and went on a few rides, I met people beyond my circle of friends and network. Suffice to say, I took to heart what my loved ones and friends advised me – try to live and experience life for once; And that’s what I just did! After two decades of working as well as I could have, it was something I deserved.

Now that I’m celebrating my 41st year, it’s time to wrap up this “experience life” period and get back to business. I’ve decided to take on a new challenge of introducing a sound and reliable (and ultra funded) cloud alternative to the western giants you know today. At the same time, I am fully committed to introducing a better way to manage field operations – both are not photography-related but would impact my availability to shoot. I have a month to go before I start, and I have booked trips to cap it off. Unfortunately, it’s enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) again at my current location. That means my succeeding camps and island tours are either canceled or have a high risk of being canceled, huhu. I pray the surge of COVID delta variant halts soon and that we can go back to a travel-friendly atmosphere again more quickly.

I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has followed and liked my posts on this blog. It’s not typical for me to write text whenever I post my shots, as that has been the theme since I started this blog, but I’d love to hear from you guys. If you happen to stumble upon this post, drop a comment or two, I would really appreciate it.

Cheers. 🙂
